Protect Time To Review & Plan Well
Thursday Dec 21, 2023
Thursday Dec 21, 2023
In today's episode, we are going to talk about how to effectively review progress and plan for the future.
What does an effective year in review look like?
First, you should identify three things that you are thankful for!
Next, you can have conversations with the people you shared experiences this year to see what you can identify in how you've changed.
After that, take an overall inventory on what you actually accomplished.
Once you feel good about the year in review... now it's time to start planning for the next year.
Here are some keys you can incorporate:
- Identify a word for the year.
- Find a Bible verse for the year.
- Use the progress markers from your year-in-review to identify your top goals for the new year.

Be A Giver!
Thursday Nov 30, 2023
Thursday Nov 30, 2023
Today, we will be talking about the importance and power of being someone who lives generously!
Giving is SO important for anyone to sustain success.
Much of what we will talk about today will come from principles from an incredible book called The Go Giver!
Law #1: The Law of Authenticity
If you can't be your authentic self, you are hiding behind something and you will not be able to truly GIVE to anyone.
Law #2: The Law of Compensation
In order to be able to give more, you have to add more value. Your income is determined by how many people you can serve and how WELL you can serve them!!
When you help people and serve them well, you become MORE valuable. The better you get, the more value you can add!
Law #3: The Law of Influence
This is a huge buzzword in our current culture. BUT your influence is actually determined by how you abundantly place other people's needs before your own! This selflessness will build true influence in the lives of those you work with - this is true leadership!
Law #4: The Law of Receptivity
You have to be open to receiving in order to be a giver. You need to be a RIVER... not a RESERVOIR! It takes real humility and grace to be someone who is willing to receive. Giving and receiving are two sides of the same coin!
Law #5: The Law of Value
Your worth is determined by how much more you can give. You will find that the more you GIVE, the more joy you will experience.

In today's episode, we are going to look at ways to live a life of increased gratitude!
Being thankful is truly the foundation of living a quality life.
First, take the TIME to reflect on the things you ARE grateful for! Be mindful of that which you HAVE rather than focusing on what you don't have. This mindset shift is SO powerful!
Next, create space to do a daily gratitude journal to shift your mindset even on your most challenging days!
Another powerful practice is putting time on your schedule to volunteer and and give time to others who are in need! This is an amazing way to bless your community that will also refresh and encourage your heart and mind!
Finally, embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and development! This mindset shift will give you a much better chance of overcoming those obstacles successfully!

Becoming A Good Leader: Part2
Thursday Nov 16, 2023
Thursday Nov 16, 2023
Today, we'll finish up part 2 on becoming a good leader.
As a leader, it is very important that you can handle criticism and direct feedback with discernment and grace. The first question you ask is WHO is bringing you that feedback. Evaluate if their input is important for you to learn from in order to bring change.
Next, it's so important to OWN when you make a mistake and take responsibility for those errors.
When it comes to leading, it's critical you stop micromanaging your team and begin to set key priorities so they know where to invest their time and energy.
As a leader, it's critical you become the most consistent learner in the room. Are you willing to do the hard work to be growing and being filled up?

How To Become The YOU of the Future!
Friday Nov 10, 2023
Friday Nov 10, 2023
In today's episode, we'll talk about how to be intentional about how to become the best version of the FUTURE YOU!
Ten years ago, you WILL be somewhere. But will you have arrived in the place you are SUPPOSED to be?!
Step 1 is that you must decide WHERE you want to be and where you are called to GO. If you don't know where you are going, how are you going to know if you are on the right track. Begin with the END in mind!
Next, you take very clear SMALL steps toward your end goal.
Most people don't get started because they feel overwhelmed and their task seems TOO big. That is why a small clear step can be so powerful!
Another key is deciding who you need to become! What would the 10 years in the future you be telling you to do today? Would the future you be proud of the actions you are taking right now?

Becoming A Good Leader: Part 1
Thursday Nov 02, 2023
Thursday Nov 02, 2023
Today, we are starting a series on becoming a good leader.
The first thing you need to conquer is becoming good at leading yourself!
- BUILD self-discipline: Create frameworks that you install that keep you moving forward and doing the right thing whether things are high or low in your business and life.
- Practice patience: Do the hard work to prepare for endurance in the moments when things don't go as expected.
- Seek Accountability: Create a circle of leaders that you want to be like and learn from. A strong community of leaders can help push each other to be far better than any of you can be on your own.
- Develop your strengths: Optimize your time on the areas you can make the greatest impact for your team and your business.
- Minimize the time you spend on your weaknesses: delegate those areas or automate those areas.

Starting & Building Momentum
Thursday Oct 26, 2023
Thursday Oct 26, 2023
In this episode, we are continuing a conversation about momentum. Today, we'll talk about starting momentum!
Our primary question is "Does momentum last forever?"
The answer is no. It is unlikely to last forever.
There are several ways you can lose momentum.
1. You don't realize you are IN momentum and therefore miss the reality that it is shifting away from your organization. Good leaders anticipate... poor leaders simply react.
2. You don't understand momentum. Are you doing all the work or are you leveraging the strength of a team?
3. You can lose your INWARD momentum that then pulls down everyone around you. Are you still excited about the vision you are working on? If your cup is empty, how can you fill up someone else's cup?

Fueling Momentum
Wednesday Oct 11, 2023
Wednesday Oct 11, 2023
This episode is ALL about momentum and much of it comes from a talk that Craig Groeschel did recently!
We'll talk about how to get it and how to maintain it once you have it!
Momentum has a *lot* to do with your leadership and how it is perceived.
Creating momentum is much like launching a rocket ship -- it takes FAR more energy to get it off the ground and out of the atmosphere than it does to keep it going once you get to altitude.
Momentum is getting everyone in alignment and everyone on the same page to maximize results!
You have to have a compelling VISION -- you personally knowing your WHY helps... but you also have to have a larger vision to invite others into!
One of the biggest mistakes leaders make is that they UNDERvalue the power of a clear vision.
A lack of momentum is usually tied to a lack of vision! Your entire team needs to know where you all are going together! It needs to be clear, consistent and compelling.

3 Things That IMPACT Your Mindset
Wednesday Oct 04, 2023
Wednesday Oct 04, 2023
Today, we will talk about three things that help SHAPE your Mindset.
It's easy to think that you are in complete control over your mindset... but if we are not actively taking control of what drives our thoughts, that may not be the case at all!
The first major impact on your mindset is WHO you spend time with. Surround yourself with highly driven and highly motivated people that have the types of mindsets that you desire to experience. If you are around negative people, you'll be amazed at how quickly you find yourself in a negative head space! You are likely to become a LOT like the 5 people you spend the most time with. So who are you going to pursue to build relationship with? Having close friends that are happy and successful increase the likelihood that you will experience these things by 25%.
The second major impact on your mindset is your physical environment! What you SEE every single day makes a huge difference. Are your spaces filled with positive and affirming things that inspire you to move things forward? Are you creating spaces with design decisions that can influence your mood and your overall health? Having adequate natural light actually LOWERS anxiety and depression!
The third significant impact is what you WATCH and what you READ. What you put into your mind will actually shape your thoughts and approach to life. We each need to be proactive about searching out positive things for our eyes to see and our ears to hear!
