How To Be A True Leader
Friday Dec 18, 2020
Friday Dec 18, 2020
Today's conversation between Chad Kneller, Martevious Young and I is in response to a talk from Tony Robbins about how to be a TRUE leader.
Here are some of the high points:
We don't get our goals - we get our MUSTS. When something becomes SO important you have to have it.
Who you spend time with is who you eventually become! Are you intentionally hanging out with people who are ahead of you in where you want to go?
Compete with where you CAN be.
8pm to 2am -- those are the hours that can move the needle even when you're working full time during the day.
Income is a result of your standards.
Become aware of your limiting beliefs and then destroy your limiting beliefs.
We FIND what we look for.
What are FIVE things that you've already accomplished in life that you're proud of that you used to think you would never be able to do? This will help remind you that you CAN do so much more!
Give more than everyone could possibly expect. When you're at your best, you're GIVING!

The Time Is NOW To Separate Yourself From The Herd
Friday Dec 18, 2020
Friday Dec 18, 2020
Today's conversation between Stefani Dunn, Martevious Young and I is in response to an amazing message from Ed Mylett on how THIS is truly the time to take steps to separate yourself from what everyone else is doing (or not doing)!
Here are some of the high points:
Some people LIVE in planning mode... you need to make the shift into execution mode!
There is a difference between leaders and those who simply want to belong. Are you willing to step OUT of what's comfortable to start pushing yourself and challenging those around you to become BETTER.
Throughout your year, create separation moments and throughout each week... look for opportunities to take back even more ground. When are the windows with others are unwilling to work that you can make progress?
You work from 9-5 to make a living... but wealth is often built in the 6-8 and on Saturday!

This Conversation Can Change Your Life
Tuesday Dec 15, 2020
Tuesday Dec 15, 2020
Today's conversation between Chad Kneller, Martevious Young and I is in response to a conversation between Ed Mylett & Les Brown about life transformation.
Here are some of the high points:
Life is a FIGHT for territory. Once you stop fighting for what you want, what you DON'T want takes over. We are either gaining ground and moving forward or we are losing ground on who we are called to be.
What is the driving force behind your WHY. For Les Brown, his was that he got to use his voice to help his mother.
For Chad, being 7300 miles from his family when he was in the military became his WHY so that he is willing to fight to protect the ability to be CLOSE to his family and have the margin to spend time with them!!
From the ages of 0 to 5, we learn what is available to us and what is not available to us. We all may have some serious reprogramming to do based on these years of experiences.
More than thirst of hunger, humans need stories! Don't be afraid of your story... don't be embarrassed by your story. Your story can inspire, encourage and connect you to other people in powerful ways!!

Why Leaders Should Learn To Forgive
Wednesday Dec 09, 2020
Wednesday Dec 09, 2020
Today's conversation between Chad Kneller, Martevious Young and I is the response to a conversation between Craig Groeschel and Lysa TerKeurst about the importance of forgiveness when you're in a place of leadership.
Here are some of the high points:
Bitterness rots the bones AND it leaks onto the people around you EVERY single time. The people you love end up paying the price for your unwillingness to forgive.
It's not "forgive and forget" ... but we do need to forgive what we cannot forget.
I desperately need grace so I need to freely give grace!
You can train instinct (over time) so that when things arise, you have the ability to make the transition to forgive and extend grace quickly.
Don't let your hurt turn into hate - it's a very slippery slope. Just because you feel offended doesn't mean you have to live an offended life.

Creating Confidence
Tuesday Dec 01, 2020
Tuesday Dec 01, 2020
Today's conversation between Chad Kneller, Martevious Young and I is in response to an amazing message from Heather Monahan on creating confidence!
Here are some of the highlights:
Fear is a green light that means GO!!!
Talk to yourself in the same positive way you talk to others!
Find a community to be a part of. Successful people don't worry as much about the how - they jump in and make adjustments as they go. They don't allow analysis to paralyze them! Live with the approach to "Figure it out" rather than just looking at data all the time!
Learn from others that are further along than you!!
When you buy into someone's opinion, you area absolutely buying into their lifestyle. Is their life one that is worth replicating?

The Leadership Pace
Wednesday Nov 25, 2020
Wednesday Nov 25, 2020
Today's conversation between Chad Kneller, Martevious Young and I is in response to an amazing message from Michael Todd on leadership pace.
Here are some of the high points:
Many of us aren't as successful (internally) as we look on the outside. If you take a look at the pace you've set for yourself, is it sustainable? Are you running at 100m pace and trying to maintain it for the marathon? Jesus never ran to his next appointment and yet accomplished everything he was supposed to accomplish in three years. Striving is running and wearing yourself out.
Striding is taking long, steady and decisive steps that you can do for the long term.
The pace of grace is where you get great results and genuine rest.
Are you creating a leadership environment that other people can model and emulate?
Pace allows you to have margin so that you don't miss the moments, meanings and the miracles that are RIGHT in front of your eyes. The right pace allows you to be PRESENT.
A vision never happens unless it gets written down... then get verbal and share it with someone so they can hold you accountable!
Pace = Peace and true peace is real prosperity!

Four Enemies of Growth: Part 2
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
Today's conversation between Chad Kneller, Martevious Young and I is the second part in a two part series in response to a talk from Craig Groeschel about the FOUR enemies of growth.
Here are some of the high points from this second episode:
One of the greatest enemy of growth is unscalable processes. If something doesn't have the right growth drivers, it won't be able to scale at pace. The three legged stool analogy works so well because all of these growth drivers must grow concurrently.
Chad's Five Growth Drivers:
- Grow your prospect list
- Educate your prospect list
- Collect interested prospects
- Launch new business partners & equip them
- Personal development
You never become great by playing it safe!
Joel's Ideas on Growth Drivers:
- Develop and train more Ruby's
- Daily task list: consistency
- Personal development
- Give back on purpose

Four Enemies of Growth: Part 1
Wednesday Nov 11, 2020
Wednesday Nov 11, 2020
Today's conversation between Chad Kneller, Martevious Young and I is the first part in a two part series in response to a talk from Craig Groeschel about the FOUR enemies of growth.
Here are some of the high points from this first episode:
Change is inevitable and growth is optional! How you respond and adapt to the situations you face will impact whether you actually step forward or simply survive.
Organizations don't automatically lean toward growth. Are you as a leader pushing your people toward the positive or are you dragging people down toward the negative?
Are you intentionally preparing your team for growth?
Unnecessary complexity is a massive threat to any healthy organization -- complexity kills growth.
Unscalable processes: If you're the bottleneck for your company or your team, you have to make ROOM by bringing in the right talent to make space for new movement!

"I See It Now" Conversation
Wednesday Nov 04, 2020
Wednesday Nov 04, 2020
Today's conversation between Chad Kneller, Martevious Young and I is in response to an amazing message from Dharius Daniels.
Here are some of the key ideas:
If God hasn't given you an answer now, it may because you may not need an answer now. You may be dependent on something that he wants you to lean on HIM completely for. Keep advancing even when you don't have the answers you think you need. Stay the course until the Lord directs you otherwise.
God knows what you actually need. Jesus wasn't in a hurry or rushed or stressed... he was present and engaged in every moment his father placed him in.
The principle of perspective: Where you sit determines what you see. What you see will determine what you DO. Do you have an abundance mindset or a mindset of lack?
Don't use your gifts as a crutch.
