Conflict, Burnout & Baby Step Millionaires
Tuesday Jun 07, 2022
Tuesday Jun 07, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a conversation between Craig Groeschel and Dave Ramsey about the importance of leading WELL in these crazy times.
Here are some of the high points:
We all must have REAL clear values and principles... you don't have to just know these things... you have to LIVE them out!
When you're feeling stuck, you have to have a healthy desperation! Most people get to a point where they feel comfortable and that is where they get totally locked down.
You truly cannot motivate people... you have to find motivated people and then give them real direction. MOST people who say they are burnt out were never on fire in the first place. Burnout is a lack of meaning behind what you're doing.
Fatigue is what successful people encounter, which is doing too much of a good thing without adequate rest.
Connect what you're doing with the mission of changing the next person's life!
A good way to keep fatigue from happening is to PRIORITIZE your TO DO list... put them in the RIGHT order!
Failure is inevitable... but we all need to intentionally fail forward. Success is you standing on a mountain of mistakes rather than being buried by a mountain of mistakes. Successful people make aggressive mistakes rather than passive mistakes.

Understanding & Applying The Power of One More
Tuesday May 31, 2022
Tuesday May 31, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a conversation between Ed Mylett and Jon Gordon about the importance of understanding the power of one more!
Here are some of the high points:
You are closer than you think to what you are trying to accomplish. You are one thought away, one connection away, one relationship away, one win away from hitting that mark. Are you going to stay the course or will you quit before you get to that point?
You have the opportunity to change your family legacy forever!
You will get your goals 20% of the time, but your will get your standards EVERY time. This is why we have to raise our standards.
The one thing that successful people do consistently is going above and beyond to DO ONE MORE than what everyone else is willing to do with consistency.
Take life ONE day at a time. We have to avoid living so far in the future that our destination actually seems impossible.
Your mess CAN BE your message. Your story can change someone else's future.

Leading IN and OUT of Crisis Part 2
Tuesday May 17, 2022
Tuesday May 17, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a the second part of a talk from Craig Groeschel about how we as leaders need to approach the reality that we are currently leading out of a very real crisis.
Here are some of the high points:
There is nothing "usual" about the crisis we are coming out of and the way it's impacted our world.
Question everything and be willing to change ANYTHING!
As leaders, we need to listen more and talk less. It's important that your team hears from you, but its MORE important that you hear from your team.
Three questions we should be asking:
1. How ARE you?
2. How can I help?
3. What can we change in our current strategy?
We have a responsibility to help our hurting team members heal.

Leading IN and OUT of a Crisis
Tuesday May 03, 2022
Tuesday May 03, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a talk from Craig Groeschel about how we as leaders need to approach the reality that we are currently leading out of a very real crisis.
Here are some of the high points:
The toll that crisis takes on us can be a silent killer that makes us want to stop. It's not time to LET UP on leadership because people are looking for active leadership now more than ever. This fatigue can come from getting depleted.
In a crisis, the fake leaders disappear. The storms expose the true captains because they step up into the struggle.
How will you get refilled... and do you realize no one else is responsible to make sure you get filled back up? For you to pour into others, you have to make sure you actually have something to offer. You can't consistently give to others well without stewarding yourself well.
The four areas you need to be aware of in life as a leader:
- physical
- emotional
- relational
- spiritual

Outlast The Temporary
Thursday Apr 28, 2022
Thursday Apr 28, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a talk from Ed Mylett about how important it is that we as leaders begin to understand that everything in this life is temporary and we have the potential to CHANGE!
Here are some of the high points:
We all tend to believe that where we are is permanent... but you are not a tree. You can get up and MOVE to make changes.
Success requires no apologies and failure allows no alibis. But IF we do allow excuses for our failures rather than owning them, we will never become the person we were created to be!
You are where you are today based on how you handled the difficult seasons you've encountered up until now. AND the amazing thing is that we don't have to follow that same programming in the future IF it hasn't been effective.
We have to reframe our challenges to understand that they are not happening TO us... they are happening FOR us.
Keep replacing your plan until you find one that works when you WORK IT with everything you've got!

We Can Learn From ANYONE!
Tuesday Apr 12, 2022
Tuesday Apr 12, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a talk from Albert Tate at the Global Leadership Summit about how important it is that we as leaders realize that each of us regardless of our experience or position can learn from anyone!
Here are some of the high points:
Leadership is influence. Everyone has influence... which means that everyone is a leader.
If you're a mother or father, you are a leader. In your workplace, you may have opportunities to be a leader. In the environments you are in, are you leaving people better or worse?
As leaders, we NEED to have an abundance of humility!
With humility, it brings the ability to learn... and often the best place to learn will be a location where you get to be around people who are DIFFERENT than you!
We ALL can learn from anyone. When we are with people, we have the opportunity to ask questions, listen, learn and understand!
The older we get, the more confident we get that there is MUCH that we don't know!

The Power of Regret
Tuesday Apr 05, 2022
Tuesday Apr 05, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a talk from Daniel Pink at the Global Leadership Summit about the power of regret and how it impacts our lives.
Here are some of the high points:
REGRET is our most transformative emotion next to LOVE. It's also the number one and most powerful negative emotion. It's a stomach churning feeling that the present would be better and the future would be brighter if we had lived and made decisions differently.
Regrets can powerfully tear us down... OR they can actually can serve to clarify what really matters to us and they can instruct us on how to do better!
There are four different types of regrets.
- Foundational Regrets
- Boldness Regrets
- Moral Regrets
- Connection Regrets
These categories will touch on almost every significant area of our lives.

Leading with Authenticity: Part 2
Tuesday Mar 22, 2022
Tuesday Mar 22, 2022
Today's episode is the second part of a discussion in response to a leadership conversation between Craig Groeschel and Jamie Kern Lima about Leading with Authenticity.
Here are some of the high points:
Authenticity alone doesn't guarantee success... but inauthenticity DOES guarantee failure.
People can sense when you aren't being authentic.
When we change our relationship with rejection, we change our entire lives.
When you get comfortable with hearing "NO" ... it will reframe your willingness to take the next step. It won't be as hard and you will no longer take it personally.
Be a brave one! Most people are so afraid of being rejected that they won't step out and just make an ASK.
Don't get to Heaven only having done 50% of what you were capable of.
Your journey will be filled with many rejections -- now that you know it will happen, this shouldn't affect you as much!
Today may be bad... but you never know what will happen by next Tuesday in your business if you don't GIVE UP!
Trust your KNOWING over hearing someone telling you "NO."
Build the muscle of intuition!
More than ever, people need to know WHY they are doing what they are doing. This is part of what is feeding the great resignation across our nation and around the world!
You were not born to compete with anyone - you were created to reach the highest potential for YOU!

Leading with Authenticity: Part 1
Monday Mar 14, 2022
Monday Mar 14, 2022
Today's episode is a discussion in response to a leadership conversation between Craig Groeschel and Jamie Kern Lima about Leading with Authenticity. It is the first part of a two part series we will do digging into this content!
Here are some of the high points:
Part of being authentic is opening up to people and allowing them to see behind the scenes. No matter what role you have right now, God is using that to move you toward your calling. The job you have may be simple and it may not look big, but that doesn't mean these moments don't have the potential to prepare you for the next step.
Every business or movement of significance must start from a deeply held conviction about your WHY if it is to endure the hardships. Many leaders fail because they have their priorities wrong. They focus on the what and the how but miss putting energy into clarifying their WHY.
Don't put flash over cash - especially early on. Take the money you are making and reinvest it into your business to create a sustainable income.
It's the things that no one sees that you are doing that produce the results that everyone wants.
Sometimes you just HAVE to make it happen... period.

The Path of Success with John Maxwell
Tuesday Feb 22, 2022
Tuesday Feb 22, 2022
Today's episode is a discussion between Chad Kneller and I in response to a leadership talk from John Maxwell about how to walk the path of success via The Power of FIVE!
Here are some of the high points:
As leaders, it is mission critical that we have a growth mindset... that we never STOP learning and growing. Most people turn off their growth mindset by the time they are TWELVE!!
Only growing leaders have the ability to grow their teams -- if you're having a problem with your team growing, look inwardly first.
Beware of the danger of "finish lines" ... there isn't a time to STOP, there are just key mile markers along the way.
The number one thing John Maxwell would talk with people about is their MINDSET. He says that how you view things is how you DO things!
Here is a link to pick up the incredible book called The Power of Five that this content flows from - it's incredible!! 👇
