Success Habits of Millionaires
Tuesday Jul 05, 2022
Tuesday Jul 05, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a talk from Dean Graziosi about success habits that millionaires establish in their lives.
Here are some of the high points:
No one is coming to save you. It is up to you to bring change to your life.
First, you start with your business. Are you doing things the same today that you were doing six months ago... because the world is changing rapidly.
Be truthful and honest with yourself about WHY you are where you are today!
It's ok to be blessed and still be driven to pursue MORE to make an impact on the lives of others... but you have to know why!
Are you willing to pay the SUCCESS TAX? Are you willing to pay the price for what you want? Anything you want to accomplish is possible if you're willing to pay the price.

How You Can Live Differently TODAY!

Thursday Jun 30, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a talk from Jon Gordon about how living with optimism can transform your entire life.
Here are some of the high points:
Do you have a WORD for your year that gives you clarity and focus of what you're running after?!
The power behind your energy and vision is the WHY that forms the foundation of what you do every day!
The obstacles WILL come -- is your reason for doing what you do BIG ENOUGH to push through those challenges? Are you committed to show up for the ONE that could change the course of your entire journey?
The work that you're doing has invisible returns - there is SUCH value in putting in the reps even when you don't see the immediate results. Leadership is a transfer of belief.
What are you transferring to those around you? The word encourage means TO ADD COURAGE TO! We all need some encouragement and the people around us need it as well.
Let's be people who encourage others!

72 Hours With John Maxwell
Wednesday Jun 22, 2022
Wednesday Jun 22, 2022
For the third year in a row, I had the chance to spend three days with John Maxwell.
Today, we'll talk through the powerful lessons learned.
I liken this to the time that John Maxwell had in his younger years when he was learning from John Wooden.
One of the big topics we discussed is the reality that we are in a world that has a leadership vacuum. Adversity separates true leaders from the pretenders and we have had a tremendous amount of adversity over the last few years.
After a crisis, it is mission critical that a leader takes the time to CAST VISION of what is next. The step that most leaders miss at this moment is to be willing to ASK for a commitment once the vision has been laid out. Pushing people to put skin in the game is part of what will help people stay the course and work toward the goal rather than abandoning it to do something else.
We often talk about the HOW and the WHAT... tips and tricks do help. But true leaders teach values that endure over time as well as the driving principles that move your team toward the overall end goal.
John always brings us back to the WHY. That core belief is the fuel that any team and any dream will actually run on!

Conflict, Burnout & Baby Step Millionaires
Tuesday Jun 07, 2022
Tuesday Jun 07, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a conversation between Craig Groeschel and Dave Ramsey about the importance of leading WELL in these crazy times.
Here are some of the high points:
We all must have REAL clear values and principles... you don't have to just know these things... you have to LIVE them out!
When you're feeling stuck, you have to have a healthy desperation! Most people get to a point where they feel comfortable and that is where they get totally locked down.
You truly cannot motivate people... you have to find motivated people and then give them real direction. MOST people who say they are burnt out were never on fire in the first place. Burnout is a lack of meaning behind what you're doing.
Fatigue is what successful people encounter, which is doing too much of a good thing without adequate rest.
Connect what you're doing with the mission of changing the next person's life!
A good way to keep fatigue from happening is to PRIORITIZE your TO DO list... put them in the RIGHT order!
Failure is inevitable... but we all need to intentionally fail forward. Success is you standing on a mountain of mistakes rather than being buried by a mountain of mistakes. Successful people make aggressive mistakes rather than passive mistakes.

Understanding & Applying The Power of One More

Today's episode is in response to a conversation between Ed Mylett and Jon Gordon about the importance of understanding the power of one more!
Here are some of the high points:
You are closer than you think to what you are trying to accomplish. You are one thought away, one connection away, one relationship away, one win away from hitting that mark. Are you going to stay the course or will you quit before you get to that point?
You have the opportunity to change your family legacy forever!
You will get your goals 20% of the time, but your will get your standards EVERY time. This is why we have to raise our standards.
The one thing that successful people do consistently is going above and beyond to DO ONE MORE than what everyone else is willing to do with consistency.
Take life ONE day at a time. We have to avoid living so far in the future that our destination actually seems impossible.
Your mess CAN BE your message. Your story can change someone else's future.

Leading IN and OUT of Crisis Part 2
Tuesday May 17, 2022
Tuesday May 17, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a the second part of a talk from Craig Groeschel about how we as leaders need to approach the reality that we are currently leading out of a very real crisis.
Here are some of the high points:
There is nothing "usual" about the crisis we are coming out of and the way it's impacted our world.
Question everything and be willing to change ANYTHING!
As leaders, we need to listen more and talk less. It's important that your team hears from you, but its MORE important that you hear from your team.
Three questions we should be asking:
1. How ARE you?
2. How can I help?
3. What can we change in our current strategy?
We have a responsibility to help our hurting team members heal.

Leading IN and OUT of a Crisis
Tuesday May 03, 2022
Tuesday May 03, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a talk from Craig Groeschel about how we as leaders need to approach the reality that we are currently leading out of a very real crisis.
Here are some of the high points:
The toll that crisis takes on us can be a silent killer that makes us want to stop. It's not time to LET UP on leadership because people are looking for active leadership now more than ever. This fatigue can come from getting depleted.
In a crisis, the fake leaders disappear. The storms expose the true captains because they step up into the struggle.
How will you get refilled... and do you realize no one else is responsible to make sure you get filled back up? For you to pour into others, you have to make sure you actually have something to offer. You can't consistently give to others well without stewarding yourself well.
The four areas you need to be aware of in life as a leader:
- physical
- emotional
- relational
- spiritual

Outlast The Temporary

Thursday Apr 28, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a talk from Ed Mylett about how important it is that we as leaders begin to understand that everything in this life is temporary and we have the potential to CHANGE!
Here are some of the high points:
We all tend to believe that where we are is permanent... but you are not a tree. You can get up and MOVE to make changes.
Success requires no apologies and failure allows no alibis. But IF we do allow excuses for our failures rather than owning them, we will never become the person we were created to be!
You are where you are today based on how you handled the difficult seasons you've encountered up until now. AND the amazing thing is that we don't have to follow that same programming in the future IF it hasn't been effective.
We have to reframe our challenges to understand that they are not happening TO us... they are happening FOR us.
Keep replacing your plan until you find one that works when you WORK IT with everything you've got!

We Can Learn From ANYONE!
Tuesday Apr 12, 2022
Tuesday Apr 12, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a talk from Albert Tate at the Global Leadership Summit about how important it is that we as leaders realize that each of us regardless of our experience or position can learn from anyone!
Here are some of the high points:
Leadership is influence. Everyone has influence... which means that everyone is a leader.
If you're a mother or father, you are a leader. In your workplace, you may have opportunities to be a leader. In the environments you are in, are you leaving people better or worse?
As leaders, we NEED to have an abundance of humility!
With humility, it brings the ability to learn... and often the best place to learn will be a location where you get to be around people who are DIFFERENT than you!
We ALL can learn from anyone. When we are with people, we have the opportunity to ask questions, listen, learn and understand!
The older we get, the more confident we get that there is MUCH that we don't know!

The Power of Regret
Tuesday Apr 05, 2022
Tuesday Apr 05, 2022
Today's episode is in response to a talk from Daniel Pink at the Global Leadership Summit about the power of regret and how it impacts our lives.
Here are some of the high points:
REGRET is our most transformative emotion next to LOVE. It's also the number one and most powerful negative emotion. It's a stomach churning feeling that the present would be better and the future would be brighter if we had lived and made decisions differently.
Regrets can powerfully tear us down... OR they can actually can serve to clarify what really matters to us and they can instruct us on how to do better!
There are four different types of regrets.
- Foundational Regrets
- Boldness Regrets
- Moral Regrets
- Connection Regrets
These categories will touch on almost every significant area of our lives.
